It was bold, it was without consequences, it was fearful but big dream was the fuel beneath its ascension and faith is the only force that holds the balance between men's hardwork and his capacity.
Started as farm it slowly moved its direction to farm to table restaurant then the gift shop added to the blue print, born from the inspiration of our travels - from the garden cafes frequently visited locally in the US and in Europe. The earlier visits of families and friends in the farm influenced our decisions to go bigger adding infinity pool and guest rooms for the purpose of being more relevant to the community and to be profitable to maintain its existence and longevity. The 3 acres of land evolves not only its landscape after each survival from natural calamities but also its purpose to the community. It provided jobs to its local residents and helped small local enterpreneurs throuh supply chain and services. Today Stefanora Nature Resort is one of the establishment in the quiet town of Sibonga, perched on its scenic Highlands.
Visioned as chic nature resort yet affordable, not comprising quality, serenity and natural landscape. Stefanora should be synonymous to warm hospitality, excellent service and awesome experience with nature.
Where is Sibonga
About 50km from Cebu City, a coastal community of South Cebu with equally stunning Highlands that balances between, fishing, farming, agri and religious tourism. The Monastery of the Holy Eucharist the castle like pilgrimage site in the barangay Simala (one of the 25 barangay) puts Sibonga on the map for the Catholic faithfuls and tourists alike. Cebu being the landmark of Catholic faith since 1521, also preserve the ancient Spanish churches established by the Augustinian Friars on the coastal South of Cebu and became the tourist destinations of historians and culture minded people. From Basilica de Sto. Nino, Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral to San Fernando, Carcar, Sibonga, Argao, Boljoon to Oslob the Spanish architecture using local hardwood and stones made an architectural marvel before till now.
Sibonga and other Southern coastal town should not just be for historians. Aside from its slow paced way of life, religious and cultural significance it also offers economic resources as the bread basket of Cebu through its farming produce. The fertile land from the valley to the Higlands produces crops like sweet potatoes, cassava, ube, and fruits like mangoes, avocados, jackfruit, bananas, coconuts and lomboy- local berries and vegetables like cabbages, chillis, tomatoes and more.
Agri tourism started in 1990s and picked up its pace as merging economic player in Cebu since 2010 but Sibonga just took its active place in this sector recently when Racos garden a Bali inspired 3 tiered swimming pool; Oikos Orchard and Farm an outdoor classroom and immersion place for organic farming, native trees and earth loving advocacy and Stefanora Nature Resort as wellness destination for forest, nature therapy, a short distant to Sibonga Waterfall and beautiful things in between.
Sibonga no longer an insignificant town between the famous lechon in Carcar and the famous torta in Argao but Sibonga can be famously known for its beautiful Higland experience destination.

We anchor ourselves as the wellness center with holistic approach that provides healing, rejuvenation and resetting mind, body and spirit. The organic farm to table as the basic foundation for physical health, we sourced our spices and vegetables from our greenhouse and the 1000 sqm lot on the adjoining lot of the resort. We work together with the Cebu Farmers Market and in collaboration with Cebu Technical University Argao and Barili Graduates and Professors.
As a Registered Nurse from Philippines, Australia and United States of America and recently obtained my Forest Therapy Certificate, I believe in preventing disease than treating disease. Health Education, Promotion and Prevention is the core principle in wellness both mentally and physically. Yoga, Meditation, Massage, Hiking, Creek Trails, Waterfall Trails, Singing, Stargazing, Journaling and other individual and group activities are curated according to guests need and preferences. We are primed to nourish our senses: taste, smell, touch, hear and feel the nature that nurture us. We will elevate our sense of belongingness to the community and the earth we live. We will practice the art of giving, sharing, gratitude to the Universe and the God who gave us this beautiful earth and our beautiful life.
